Nyack College's NYC & ATS Homecoming Dinner 2010

As a Nyack College Alumni board member, I am proud to invite all NYC and ATS Nyack College alums to the 2010 Homecoming Dinner. This is the second annual homecoming celebration aimed at bringing together graduates of the NYC campus, ADCP, and ATS. Last year's was a huge success. Let's make this one even better! You will find more information below, but you can also follow this link for more information as well as register for the dinner:www.nyackcollege.edu/content/NYCHomecoming

Every fall, alumni of all undergraduate, graduate, and seminary programs in the New York City area come together. Classmates and professors unite, stories are remembered and retold, and friends rejoice as they share what God has done in their lives since graduation. The 2010 NYC Alumni of the Year* will be honored, and the president, deans, and faculty will share about the latest in our NYC programs.

Our gathering will once again be held at S.P.Q.R. Restaurant, located at 133 Mulberry Street in Little Italy, beginning at 6:00 PM. The cost of the event, which includes dinner, is $45 per person. You must pre-register for this event. Space is limited, and seats will be reserved on a first-come first-serve basis.

This unique opportunity to reconnect with classmates and professors is one you won't want to miss!

Poetry: Leaders Speak Truth To The World

Leaders speak truths sometimes in the form of music, sometimes in the form of the arts. Poetry is an art form that allows the expression of thought to travel to the minds and the souls of the audience. Therefore, be very careful what you say because you do have the power to transform the world via words. This is why I am so proud to be invited to be a judge at the NY Knicks Poetry Slam auditions on October 11th, 2010. I get to hear what young people have to say. I get to see how they perceive their world and their future. Moreover, I get to encourage and support their development as leaders of tomorrow.

I encourage you to invite any young person that is interested in poetry to attend this wonderful event at the very least. And for those young people that would like to audition, come on down. It is an opportunity to make your voice heard. Put your talent and leadership on display. I would love to see you there!

Go to www.knickspoetryslam.com for more details.
